Thank you for considering SF SCUBA Schools for your dive training. To become a fully certified Open Water SCUBA Diver, you must complete the entire Open Water course. This course consists of three sections:
You Have the Option of Doing Either a Referral Course or the Full Course
Now Offering an Accelerated Class. This class is conducted in Monterey over a weekend! Limited to Only 4 Students Per Class
Embark on an unforgettable adventure in the stunning waters of Monterey, California, and complete your PADI Open Water Certification in just two days. You were already planning to visit Monterey for your checkout dives, this accelerated course allows you to complete your pool and ocean dives over one action-packed weekend.
The Accelerated Open Water Course is designed for individuals with strong swimming skills, who are confident in the water, and who have limited time. This course consists of two days of immersive training: mastering diving skills in the pool followed by four ocean dives in Monterey’s world-renowned dive sites.
Day 1: Orientation, Pool Training, and Ocean Dive (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Day 2: Complete Pool Training and Ocean Dives (6:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
Course Fees:
Accelerated Weekend Course (2 days): $799
- Includes your eLearning materials.
- Rental gear is not included but can be rented at a special rate of $80 for the entire weekend (available exclusively to SF SCUBA students).
- While personal gear is not required, it is highly recommended that you bring your own mask and snorkel.

Additional Options
A Referral Course is where you only do your eLearning and pool work with me. You then go someplace else to complete your open water dives. Many people choose this option if they are going somewhere tropical, like Hawaii, and would like to do their open water dives in warmer water.
The Full Course is just that. You do everything with me.
Course Costs:
Referral Course - $449.00 per student
Full course - $699.00 per student
Course fees include your eLearning and rentals for the pool. You are not required to purchase any personal gear. It is all included in your rental package. Rentals for the ocean are only $80 for the entire weekend. You will pay this the weekend of your ocean dives.
